How to Access Hopin for Speakers
First, for the best experience on Hopin, please use ensure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome or Firefox browser. To download the Google Chrome browser, click here.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to join the event and login BEFORE you access the "backstage" used to present.
1. Join Event
Each week (typically on Wednesday) we will send an email with the link and password to join the Hopin event for that week. Look for an email from "The Flourish Team <>" You will need to enter the password to access the registration page.
Click the blue "Join Event" button.
2. Create Account or Login
Fill in your information or if you've joined other Flourish Virtually sessions hosted on Hopin, click the "Sign In" link and use the same email and password you created last time you accessed Flourish Virtually.
PLEASE NOTE you will use this same email address and password to login for each weekly Flourish Virtually event. For all future weeks, just click "Sign In" instead.
3. Access the Backstage to Present/Speak
Once you are logged in, you will need to open a new tab and access the backstage.
Kristen will provide you with a link to the "backstage" for your presentation. To find this, look at the calendar invite for a link that looks like this: backstage/...... If you still do not see that link, email Kristen.
Once you are in the backstage, you will need to select the blue "Ask to Share Audio and Video" button. NOTE: You will know you are in the right place if it says "Backstage" in the center of the screen or the upper left corner. For more information on how to enable your audio/video, click here.
If your screen doesn't say "backstage" and looks like this, you are in the wrong place. Make sure the URL says "backstage" in it - something like "https://app.hopin.to/events/flourish-virtually-week-x/backstage/......"
Once you have requested to share your audio/video, Kristen will see your request pending on the backend and will approve you to join the stage. Don't worry, the stage will not be live right away. Once all speakers are in the backstage and everything looks good, Kristen will make the backstage live.
